Speakers
We have two fantastic speakers joining us:
Simon Thurman, Microsoft
Simon is a Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft. He works with companies to help them understand and use the cloud. His background is application development and solution architecture, and he joined Microsoft just before .Net was released and he’s been working with Azure since it was Red Dog.
Simon will be presenting ‘Green Software Engineering’:
Green software is software that is responsible for emitting fewer greenhouse gases. The Green Software Foundation has defined a number of principles that are important to understand when creating software, as well as a calculation that enables us to measure the emissions of our software. We’ll discuss the principles and the challenges, as well as looking at how we can measure emissions.
Dale Stewart, TransUnion
Dale is an experienced IT professional with expertise in DevOps implementation across multi-cloud environments.
Dale will be presenting ‘DevOps Toolchains’:
Diving into the tool chains required for successful DevOps implementations and tips and tricks from years of real-world experience.
