We are very excited to announce our next in-person event of 2023!
Our October event will be based in Leeds, hosted at BJSS’ offices close to the station.
Session #1: Redis on Azure: in-memory search, vectors and generative AI
Users expect search functionality in every application and website they encounter. Yet more than 80% of business data is unstructured, stored as text, images, audio, video, or other formats. By leveraging a vector database, developers can bring order to these large and sprawling datasets.
When combined with technologies such as large language models and generative AI, developers can surface this data whilst providing a compelling and intuitive user experience.
In this session, learn how Azure Cache for Redis Enterprise can be deployed as a low-latency vector database. This will be followed by a demonstration of a chatbot application that can query a bespoke dataset – powered by Redis and Azure OpenAI.
Speakers:
George von Bülow – Specialist Solution Architect @ Redis
Paul Ross – Partner Solution Architect @ Redis
Session #2: When YAML isn’t enough… Programming the Kubernetes API
This session will explore the limitations of YAML in Kubernetes and the benefits of using the Kubernetes API for programming Kubernetes resources. The session will cover the basics of the Kubernetes API and demonstrate how to use the API to create, read, update, and delete Kubernetes resources. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of how to leverage the Kubernetes API to manage their Kubernetes resources programmatically.
Speaker:
Liam Moat – Principal Software Engineer @ Microsoft.
A huge thank you to the folks over at BJSS for sponsoring this event and supporting the community! A special call out to our friends over at Redis for also supporting this special event.
Food and drink will be provided.
