LeedsSharp are proud to present “Surviving and Thriving Through incidents – Engineering On-Call” by Irene Sarigu.
An introduction to incidents and software engineering on-call practices. We’ll talk about what it’s like to be an engineer on call, from preparation before an incident, to when you get called out and then arriving at the post-incident moment. We’ll discuss what teams can do to make life easier for software engineers and key resources to ensure incidents go as smoothly as possible.
By the end of this talk, engineers who have never been on-call should have a better understanding of what joining on-call for their team could look like and clarity of whether they might be interested in joining the rota.
