Come and celebrate Black History Month with BYP Leeds! 🎊
The Black History Month 2023 theme of ‘Saluting our Sisters’ highlights the crucial role that Black women have played in shaping history, inspiring change, and building communities. This year’s celebration will showcase pioneering black women who have made remarkable contributions to literature, music, fashion, sport, business, politics, academia, social and health care, and more.
We are going to be at Axiologik for this event, spotlighting influential black professionals based in (and around) Leeds and the amazing work they are doing within the community.
You will get to hear from:
Tashi Brown – Development Quality Assurer, Freelance Embalmer and CEO of Team Creative

Marvina Newton – Founder and CEO of Angel of Youth, Co-Founder of BLM Leeds, and Founder of United for Black Lives

These incredible speakers will all share about their individual achievements within the Leeds Community and provide great tips and insights for career progression.
