Nominations for honours can be made by anyone, and the process is designed to be inclusive and accessible. The honours are announced twice a year, in the New Year and on the King’s official birthday.
At the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT), we want to recognise individuals who are delivering outstanding achievements across all fields of science and technology. They will usually have made life better for other people or be outstanding at what they do.
