Streamers across West Yorkshire will come together for the third anniversary of ‘Get Together Through Gaming’, a virtual event aimed at raising funds for the local mental health charity, Leeds Mind.
The event, organised in collaboration with Few and Far, a Leeds-based design and development studio, will take place from 14th to 16th March 2025.
Participants will challenge themselves in various gaming feats across a range of well-loved games – whether that’s completing a game as quickly as possible or avoiding enemy hits. Viewers can support by donating directly on the stream.
Everyone is welcome to watch the event live at gttg.stream, where all donations will support Leeds Mind’s mission to improve mental health for everyone.
Leeds Mind highlights how gaming can have a positive impact on mental wellbeing by providing opportunities to relax and unwind, learn and develop new skills, and connect with others in the community.
Sophie Westmoreland, Fundraising Officer at Leeds Mind, shared:
“As a gaming enthusiast myself, I’ve seen how gaming brings people together and fosters important conversations around mental health. We are deeply grateful to all who have supported this event, from our partners at Few and Far to our generous sponsors Mozzafella, Adarak, and Driftime®️, Madeby.Studio and Brand Federation – not to mention the amazing streamers, viewers, and donors.”
Colin Grist, Co-founder and Creative Director of Few and Far, added:
“We launched Get Together Through Gaming to connect with a younger audience of gamers and raise awareness about mental health. Through these communities, we aim to create a space where mental health discussions are encouraged and supported without judgment.
“Last year, the event raised over £7,000 for Leeds Mind, and we look forward to building on that success this year. It’s easier than ever for viewers to get involved, simply by visiting gttg.stream – no login required.
“We invite you to join us for a weekend of fun, emojis, and gaming while raising awareness about the importance of mental wellbeing for all.”
